In early July, the Museum held a memorial commemoration for former employee, Judy Smithson and an unveiling of a memorial plaque in her honor. Judy was a long-time employee and neighbor of the Museum who recently passed away. Judy was a life-long advocate and supporter of the Museum even after she moved out of state. Museum staff, Judy’s son’s and their families, as well as local neighbors and friends of Judy were in attendance. For many of us who worked with and knew Judy, she was a very special person and generous friend of the Museum. We will miss her dearly.
