The Tallahassee Museum hosted its annual Habitat Club and Donors Reception last week at the Governors Club.

The event gave habitat club members and donors an opportunity to connect as well as talk with board members and the Museum’s President and CEO, Russell Daws. Daws talked about the the Museum’s 60th anniversary celebrations coming to an end that the Museum’s leadership had intensified its focus and priorities on planning for the future of the Museum.

“The Museum is only going to bring up the past if it is going to help build the Museum of the future,” said Daws, who also highlighted several accomplishments that the Museum had achieved as well as projects that were currently underway, such as the renovated bear habitat. Daws also announced the development of a future capital campaign, headed by the new Vice President of Philanthropy Katherine Cline Ashler that would assist in bringing the Tallahassee Museum into the modern era.
